Australian pool safety regulations commonly require CPR signage to be displayed prominently within the pool enclosure. Requirements for sign content, dimensions and placement vary by state and territory, so it's important to check the rules applicable to your pool.
The sign must clearly show current resuscitation procedures and be positioned so it is easily visible from within the pool enclosure.
Common CPR signage requirements include:
- Be attached to the pool’s safety barrier or displayed near the pool
- Be clearly visible from any position within the pool area
- Be at least 300mm x 300mm in size
- Be made from durable, weatherproof material to prevent fading
Our Guide to CPR Sign has been designed in accordance with ANZCOR Guideline 8, which outlines nationally recognised resuscitation procedures. Always confirm the signage and placement requirements applicable to your pool before installation.
Correct placement of your CPR pool sign is essential for both safety and legal compliance.
The sign must be installed near the pool barrier or within the pool enclosure at eye level, ensuring it remains clearly visible from all areas within the pool space. It must not be obstructed and should remain legible at all times.
Mounting options include:
- Suction caps for glass pool fencing
- Decorative anodised or white standoffs for a premium architectural finish
- Masonry fixings for brick, rendered or concrete surfaces
Please note: we currently do not supply masonry fixing kits.
For complete peace of mind, always confirm installation requirements with your local authority before mounting your CPR signage.
